Barbados diving is available on both the south and west coast of the island and most dive sites are located on the barrier reefs, which surround the island. The coral reefs around Barbados are some of the healthiest in the Caribbean and several dive sites are located in designated marine parks, where no fishing is allowed. There are also dozens of moorings set up for dive operators to ensure that anchors are not dropped on the coral reefs. This is an on-going program, which is supported by the Government of Barbados. It is a great way to assist Barbados scuba diving operators.
